Sony and Technicolor

Today was any post-production student's dream, the information we learned and the people we met were spectacular. To continue on this every person we talked to today gave us advice that I think was super beneficial. Not only did we learn though I think w made some great connections. At sony we met a variety of people, including that of a VP, Producer, and editor. What I got the most out of these interactions though was with Devin, the editor. When we were on our way out I and Will, another student on the trip, got to talk with him privately. What he told us there was some of the best advice I've ever gotten, and if by the end of the trip I do decide I want to take up editing as my main field I think I'll be a step ahead. Additionally, at Technicolor, we met a Color Grader, while I could get into everything that he said that we be a book in of itself. He was a wealth of knowledge but if I had to sum it up into a few words, his own words might I add, I would say "The more you know, the deadlier you are". In conclusion, if I had to sacrifice a whole day of my life to talk with them again, I would do so in a heartbeat.
